Construction sites are fraught with danger and injuries are common. One Ohio construction site is a little bit more dangerous than most. On January 27, 2012, it was reported that about a dozen workers were injured when a collapse occurred at a Cincinnati area construction site. The structure will eventually be a casino but this latest event will probably delay the completion date. Responders report that the injuries are relatively minor compared to what could have happened.
These types of occurrences are not typical but not uncommon. Mistakes and unforseen issues quite frequently creep up with contruction projects. Often they lead to litigation. Workers are injured; disputes between subcontractors and contractors and disputes between general contractors and developers can arise quickly because of these things happening. There can also be claims against architects as well as state and federal safety regulation violations. Large construction projects often have a lot of parties involved and each party needs to protect itself.
